Buzz Research Inc.
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Buzz Research Inc. ("Buzz Research," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and otherwise processes information in connection with the Earnings mobile application, the website at earnings.app and its subdomains, our waitlist, and related services (together, the "Services"). It is part of, and subject to, our Terms of Use, including their limits on liability and dispute resolution provisions.
Summary
- We never have your private keys. Your wallet is self-custodial and secured by a third-party wallet provider. We cannot move your funds.
- We don't store your full card or bank details. Payment providers handle that.
- Some information is public by design. Blockchain transactions are public. If you hold positions or post rationales, your username, profile photo, holdings direction and approximate size may be visible to other users and used in Community and Copy Features.
- We use information to run, secure, personalize, improve and market the Services, to comply with law, and to develop new products.
- We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share information with service providers and partners as described below.
- You have choices, including opting out of marketing, controlling notifications, and, depending on where you live, rights to access and delete your data.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us
- Account and contact information: email address, sign-in identifiers from Apple, Google or other login providers, and any phone number you provide.
- Waitlist information: email address and the date and source of your sign-up.
- Profile information: username, display name, profile photo, referral code and any other profile content.
- User Content: trade rationales, posts, comments, reactions and other content you submit, and the related metadata.
- Communications: messages, support requests, feedback, survey responses and the contents of your communications with us.
- Referral information: who invited you, and whom you invite.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information: device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, device and advertising identifiers (subject to your device settings), push notification tokens, crash logs and performance data, screens viewed, features used, taps, clicks, searches, markets viewed, watchlists, time spent, and the referring link or campaign.
- Network information: IP address and information derived from it, such as approximate location (country, region, city).
- Cookies and similar technologies on our website, as described in Section 8.
1.3 Wallet, trading and financial information
- Public blockchain and Protocol data: your wallet address(es), balances, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, orders, fills, positions, leverage, margin, liquidations, funding, P&L and transaction history on public blockchains and Protocols (such as Hyperliquid). This information is public by nature and may be linked to your account.
- Fee and referral data: builder fees, rebates and referral earnings associated with your activity.
- Payment information: if you use a payment provider, we may receive limited information from it, such as transaction status, amount, currency, payment method type, card brand and last four digits, and fraud or verification signals. We do not receive or store full card or bank account numbers.
1.4 Information from third parties
- Login and wallet providers (such as Apple, Google and Privy): identifiers, email and wallet address.
- Payment providers (such as MoonPay): transaction and verification status.
- Compliance and security providers: sanctions screening, blockchain analytics, fraud and risk signals.
- Analytics, attribution and advertising partners: information about how you found us and interacted with our ads and content.
- Public sources: public blockchain data and publicly available information.
1.5 Identity verification
Some features may require identity verification. Where they do, verification is typically performed by a third-party provider that may collect your legal name, date of birth, address, government ID, selfie or biometric information. We generally receive only the result of the verification and limited related details, unless we tell you otherwise.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Services: create and manage your account and wallet connection, show market data and your balances and positions, route orders you sign to Protocols, process funding through payment providers, send transactional messages, and provide support.
- Operate Community and Copy Features: display your username, profile photo, positions, holdings direction and approximate size, rationales and activity to other users; build holder lists, rankings and leaderboards; and let other users view and replicate positions.
- Personalize the Services, including the markets, earnings events, content, notifications and offers we show you.
- Improve and develop the Services and new products and features, including through analytics, testing, research, and training and evaluating models and algorithms (including machine learning and AI), using information in identifiable, pseudonymized, aggregated or de-identified form.
- Market and advertise, including sending you newsletters, product updates, promotions and earnings alerts, running referral and rewards programs, measuring the effectiveness of our campaigns, and showing ads about the Services on other platforms (including by sharing hashed identifiers with advertising partners to build custom and lookalike audiences, where permitted by law).
- Keep the Services safe: detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, market manipulation, security incidents, and violations of our Terms; screen against sanctions; and enforce geographic restrictions.
- Comply with law and respond to legal process and requests from regulators, law enforcement and other authorities, in any jurisdiction.
- Protect rights: establish, exercise or defend legal claims, and protect the rights, property and safety of Buzz Research, our users and others.
- Business transfers: evaluate and carry out mergers, financings, acquisitions, reorganizations or sales of assets.
- Any other purpose we describe when we collect the information, or with your consent.
We may create aggregated, de-identified or anonymized information from the information we collect, and use and share it for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes such as publishing market sentiment, positioning and trend data.
3. How we share information
We may share information:
- With other users and the public, as part of Community and Copy Features and shareable content (Section 2), and anything you choose to post publicly.
- With service providers that work on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, databases, wallet infrastructure, analytics, customer support, communications, notifications, security, compliance and identity verification.
- With Protocols and blockchains, when you submit orders or transactions. These are public and outside our control.
- With payment providers, to process your deposits and withdrawals.
- With marketing, advertising and attribution partners, to promote the Services and measure performance.
- With referral participants, limited information needed to run referral programs (for example, that a referred user signed up or traded).
- With affiliates, including any parent, subsidiary or company under common control, for the purposes in this Policy.
- For legal and safety reasons, with regulators, law enforcement, courts, and others when we believe disclosure is required or appropriate to comply with law or legal process, to respond to requests from authorities (including outside your country), to enforce our Terms, or to protect anyone's rights, property or safety.
- In business transfers, with actual or prospective acquirers, investors, lenders or successors, including during due diligence, and as part of the transferred assets.
- With your consent or at your direction.
4. Public blockchain information
Blockchain transactions, wallet addresses and Protocol activity are public, permanent and can be analyzed by anyone. We cannot delete or change information recorded on a blockchain or Protocol. Linking your wallet address to your username or profile, for example through Community Features or shareable cards, may make your on-chain activity identifiable to others.
5. Retention
We keep information for as long as we consider it reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it. Information you have made public, information recorded on blockchains, and aggregated or de-identified information may persist indefinitely.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information. You are responsible for securing your device, login methods and wallet recovery methods.
7. Your choices
- Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We may still send you transactional and account messages.
- Push notifications: manage them in the app or in your device settings.
- Device identifiers and tracking: control them in your device settings (for example, iOS App Tracking Transparency).
- Profile and content: edit your profile and delete your posts in the app. Copies may remain in backups, in other users' shares, or as described in Section 5.
- Public positions: where we offer controls, you can limit how your positions appear in Community Features.
- Account deletion: request deletion in the app or by emailing malcolm@buzzmarkets.io. Deleting your account does not delete your self-custodial wallet, your funds, or anything recorded on a blockchain or Protocol.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand usage, and measure and improve marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work without them. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals, but where required by law we honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of "sales" or "sharing" for the relevant browser.
9. Region-specific rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to opt out of targeted advertising, "sales" or "sharing" as those terms are defined by law, to withdraw consent, and to appeal our decision on your request. To exercise these rights, email malcolm@buzzmarkets.io. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and may decline requests where permitted by law (for example, where we need the information for compliance or fraud prevention). You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California. In the past 12 months we may have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 1 (identifiers, commercial and financial information, internet activity, geolocation derived from IP, audio/visual content such as profile photos, inferences, and, where verification applies, sensitive personal information) from the sources and for the purposes in Sections 1 and 2, and disclosed them to the categories of recipients in Section 3. We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of advertising partners may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; you can opt out by emailing malcolm@buzzmarkets.io with the subject "Do Not Share" or by using a Global Privacy Control signal. We use sensitive personal information only for purposes permitted by law.
EEA, UK and Switzerland. Buzz Research is the controller of your personal information. Our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Services); our legitimate interests (to secure, improve, personalize and market the Services, operate Community Features, and prevent fraud), balanced against your rights; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where we ask for it (which you may withdraw at any time). You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
11. Children
The Services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact malcolm@buzzmarkets.io and we will delete it.
12. Third-party services
The Services link to and integrate third-party services, including wallet providers, Protocols, payment providers and login providers. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the "Last updated" date, and if changes are material we may notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Services after the update means you accept it, to the extent permitted by law.
